Respect for UNICEF Global Citizenship event
Longsight Community Primary pupils showed their commitment to fighting inequality and building mutual respect worldwide by holding a fundraising day for Unicef as part of the school’s Global Citizenship programme.
Children and parents packed the school to taste and try an array of fun stalls and activities from pancake flipping to face painting. Pupil’s also banged the drum for change selling their hand-made and painted bongos.
The day raised £1093 for Unicef which supports projects in the UK and around the world which strive to make a safer world for children by fighting disease, offering protection from violence and supporting children’s education.
