News for week beginning 19 March 2018
Longsight Community Primary Facebook page
We are very excited that our school Facebook page is now ready to be used. There will be weekly updates on the website and any quick messages, which we need to give to parents, will be posted on the page. There is a team of administrators who are in charge of monitoring the page and ensuring it is being used appropriately. Please ensure you have read the letter which was sent out in book bags last week. The deadline for responding to the letters was last week.
Parents evening times can currently be booked using ParentMail. Please note that paper copies will only be sent out once the ParentMail window closes on Friday 23rd March. If you want to select the exact time you would like, then you need to do this via ParentMail. If you still have not arranged access to this come to the office as soon as possible to be registered.
This Friday 23rd March is Sports Relief. To support this wonderful event we are asking children to come into school wearing sports clothes and donate £1. The children will be taking part in a skipping event during the day and also working together as a school to complete the daily mile each day this week.
Sing Together event raises £198
Our school choir attended a Sing Together event last week, with several other schools from our cluster. The children had a wonderful time and they really enjoyed the experience of singing with other schools. Thanks to the parents who attended to support the children. Mrs Rowson received an update from the Sing Together event today, to inform her that £198 was raised via the bucket collection! This money will be donated to the Manchester homeless charity The Mustard Tree.
