World Book Day
This Thursday 1st March it is National Wolrd Book Day and we are very excited to be taking part. The children are being asked to come into school dressed as characters from their favourite books. As always, there will be prizes for the best effort made. Remember you don’t have to spend money buying a costume; the best ones are the ones which are homemade. If you would like any further information, please speak to Mrs Verity who is leading the event.

Big Clean Up
Mrs Ahmed, our EYFS leader, has been working with the recycling company Biffa to help keep our local area clean and safe. This Friday 2nd March at 1.40pm, we are asking for parents and carers to come in and help their children to clean up our school grounds. As a thank you refreshments will be provided. You will also have the chance to meet with some of the staff from Biffa and get some tips on how to recycle better at home. Please speak to Mrs Ahmed if you would like any further information and don’t forget to return your slip to let us know that you can help.

Year 6 residential to Winmarleigh Hall
It has quickly come around to the time when our 33 Year 6 children and several member of staff will be going off on a three day trip to Winmarleigh! The children are sure to have an amazing time, but only if they have all of the things which they need from the kit list.
The weather is looking to be very cold next week and the main things the children will need is lots of layers, for example several pairs of leggings or thick trousers. Suitable nightwear is also key as the children will only have sleeping bags.
Please note there is a shop on site which the children will have access to, however their money is the responsibility of the children and not the adults. A £10 limit it also advised. Please remember the deadline for the suitcases to come in is this Thursday. If you have any questions please don’t leave it too late to ask.
