Year 5 John Rylands trip
The trip was a visit to the John Ryland’s Library for a book making workshop. The children were lucky enough to have a tour of the historic building and learn about its history. This was followed by a book making workshop where the children learnt about how books were traditionally made before the modern printing press.
Juwariyah: I loved making the book
Akif: In the library, they even had books in Latin!
Mrs Ahmed: The building was beautiful. Full of history.
Yusuf: I can’t believe that you can come to this building to read books.
We would strongly encourage you to go along and visit the library with your family, it is a spectacular place steeped in history.
