Our Children’s Centres are run by The Big Life group. We have been delivering services for more than 30 years, and our commitment to local employment ensures that staff reflect the communities they work in and services change to reflect the needs of local people.

From time to time, we also deliver pilot and one-off projects, often working in partnership with other organisations.

We support parents and families to identify the issues they are facing, and then helps them access the services, and develop the skills they need, to change their lives for the better.

Children’s centre staff, volunteers and partner organisations work together with families, pregnancy in families, mums, dads and carers to support:

  • The development of babies and children
  • Good family health and wellbeing
  • Great parents and active community members
  • Children to have the skills they need for school
  • Access to learning, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Universal screenings and milestones (e.g. Wellcomm screening, 18 month ASQ check)
