UNICEF programme makes us global citizens!
As part of our Rights Respecting Schools Awards programme with UNICEF Longsight Community Primary celebrated being Global Citizens with a Global Citizenship Event that took place on Friday 27th May. The day involved selling arts and crafts made by the children, these included African Safari animal puppets, placemats and masks. We also sold treats made with Fair Trade ingredients. The children also took part in an Safari drama class and a sponsored Water Aid challenge where they carried buckets of water around the school with their parents. The nursery joined us with their own Water Aid Challenge. Over 80 parents supported our day and we raised a staggering £820 for UNICEF and Water Aid!
