Literacy Toggle

Write paragraphs with an increasing range of sentence structures. Use a variety of verb forms including the progressive and the present perfect forms.

Your child’s PE lesson will be on Friday.

On these days please ensure that your children brings their kit in a bag. Including suitable footwear (trainers or plimsolls). Your child’s kit MUST be black bottoms and white tops.

Homework Toggle
Homework will be set on Class Dojo every Friday. It will be linked to our foundation subject.

Year 4 are expected to be going on Timestables Rockstars every day, and reading and quizzing on Accelerated Reader

Swimming Toggle

Every Wednesday, unless told otherwise, your child will be going swimming at Arcadia swimming baths in Levenshulme. This will continue until the end of the year.

They will be expected to swim 50m without armbands and be able to complete correct water safety procedures

Reading Books Toggle

Reading books will be used as normal and the children will be able to take home reading books and reading records as they wish. When the children have finished their book they will write it in their reading record, bring it back to class and will quiz on Accelerated Reader. It is your child’s responsibility to be changing their book at school and taking it home to read to an adult.
