Hello and welcome to our spring term. This newsletter will give you an idea of some of the things we will be focusing on this term, which is set to be very exciting! PE will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays so please make sure your child has a PE kit: these can be left in school. The PE kit should be a white t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps. Also on these days can you please remove earrings and make sure long hair is tied back. This is part of our PE policy due to health and safety.
Reading continues to be one of our key priorities in school, we hear children read daily in school but you reading with them at home makes a huge difference. We encourage the children to read as much as possible at home and we are happy to change reading books as often as your child reads their book. In order for the book to be changed your child must write a comment about what they have read and an adult needs to sign the reading record.
Continuing to build on our creative curriculum, Year 3 will carry on learning guitar and singing this term. We have already sent out permission slips for limited numbers to take home instruments to practise but please speak to us if you would like to participate.
I look forward to working with your child throughout the year and keeping you updated on the exciting things which we are doing in class. Please do not hesitate to come and see me or one of the other members of staff in Year 3, if you have any questions or concerns.
